Okay so now you know what books to
get a guy and what their criteria are let me introduce to a few books that
almost any guy will enjoy.
The
Shadows of The Apt: This is a fantasy series in a steampunk world where people
are kinden, have a sort-of totem, that gives the ability of their insect. It
sounds crazy and terrible but it has to be one of my favorite series of all
time. It finds a way to combine all of the things I said would create a great
book and put it into a series. It is completely unique and the characters are
lovable. There is action drama mystery and a whole world built on all of this.
The series is by Adrian Tchaikovsky. It is a long series so be ready for the
trip!
A
Song of Fire And Ice: I highly suggest this book for anyone mature enough to
handle it. Most people don’t know this series by its true name Fire and Ice.
They know it by the amazing HBO spinoff Game of Thrones. I love both and they
are amazing. You have a ton of characters and a huge creative world. There is
betrayal and suspense and everything that makes a book epic. Beware though,
characters you love may die and I highly suggest having a bookmark on the wiki
because memorizing and remembering everything is fairly hard but totally worth
it. The series is by George R.R. Martin.
The
Dark Tower: Saving the best for last, The Dark Tower series by Stephen King.
Stephen King is a master of his craft. Set in a place called Mid-World the last
of the gunslingers is chasing a man and going to a place called the Dark Tower
to save his world and maybe all of the worlds too. This is an amazing story and
has to be one of, if not favorite, book series of all time. And since the
newest one is already out and the movie is set to come out next year, right now
would be a great time starting. I highly suggest this to anyone one who calls
themselves a reader.
On
a side note, this month is Lupus awareness month. Lupus is an auto-immune
disorder and is a very bad disease. My mom has Lupus so it is something I want
to get the word out about. If you could take the time to learn more about Lupus
and tell the people you know it may help people understand Lupus is just as bad
as any other disease.
Sorry
to end on a sad note but I think this is really important and it needs to be
much more publicized. Thank you for reading this.
Question
of The Week: What is you favorite book series you consider for guys?

I think that the Hunger Games series is a great choice for guys!
ReplyDeleteHarry Potter I think, of course that both like it, but I guess on the beginning the publishers thought it was more for boys
ReplyDeleteGreat post! Like the commenters before me, I agree that the Hunger Games is a great series for guys, as well as the Lord of the Rings. Actually, they're good for both guys and girls >___>
ReplyDeleteAbout Lupus Awareness Month, it's also Autoimmune Arthritis Awareness Month (called the IAAM movement on Facebook). Most cases of lupus actually involve the joints and we're trying to raise awareness of ALL autoimmune diseases involving the joints--e.g. rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile arthritis, lupus, Sjrogens, Still's disease, etc.. It's wonderful that you mentioned this in your post--it's time to raise awareness!
I think its The City of Bones
